VCC 2022 COVID-19 Guidelines

Ballroom Dancing

VCC Postponed to Feb 26th & 27th

In light of new restrictions to slow down the spread of Covid, we have decided to postpone the Vancouver Challenge Cup 2022.  For those of you who are not aware, the BC government has suspended all sports tournaments until January 31st, and has cancelled all adult fitness and dance classes until at least January 18th.

Our new proposed dates for VCC 2022 are February 26 & 27.  By moving the event to the end of February (instead of the beginning), we will have a more reasonable timeline (more than just 4 days) to notify our participants and officials as to whether or not the restrictions are lifted and therefore the event is being held.

We apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you will still be able to participate.  With this ever-evolving virus, we are having to adapt constantly to the new rules and regulations to keep the dance community safe.

If you require a refund because of the change of dates, again, please notify us within 2 weeks.  After January 18th, refunds will only be given based on our original refund policy (which is due to medical reasons with a doctor’s note).

Thank you again for all of your support, and we look forward to reviving the competition even with all the current modifications.  If you have any additional entries to submit, please feel free to send your requests to  If you’d like to purchase tickets for your friends and family, you may purchase them directly online here:

We look forward to seeing you all at the end of February!
